Create the debate

You can start a Debate by defining the motion.

Simply enter the text and hit the Create button. You will be transitioned to the Lobby, where you can proceed by inviting the rest of your team.

Invite the team

Share a link to the Debate via email or any other communication method of your choice.

Participants can use it to enter the Lobby of the session you created. Here you can assign debate roles and nominate up to four adjudicators.

Once you finished assigning the roles, you can proceed to the preparation rooms.

Prepare for debate

During preparation, each team is assigned automatically to a dedicated room where the two members of the respective team can work together to get ready for the debate. Adjudicators also gather in their own room.

Teams can ask for help, and adjudicators are notified when that happens. An adjudicator can freely join anytime to one of the team's preparation room, in order to answer questions or provide assistance.

When the preparation is done, an adjudicator can start the debate.

Debate

The debate room is arranged visually to support the debate speeches efficiently.

The Government teams are grouped on the left side, while Opposition is shown on the right. Adjudicators are grouped on the bottom. In the center, the current speaker is displayed.

An adjudicator can start, pause and stop the current speech, which moves the speaker to the middle on the screen. Elapsed time is displayed so that each participant can track protected and unprotected time as well.

An adjudicator can also select the next speaker and start their speech, when they next speaker is ready.

Evaluate

When the last speech is finished, the debate is over and adjudicators can give feedback and evaluate the performance of the teams during Evaluation.

Adjudicators can switch to the adjudicator room for a private discussion, while the teams are waiting for result in the Evaluation Room.
