Logging in with Username and Password
Log in with your username and password. If you don’t have an account yet, see Creating a User Account.
Go to debate.club and click Login at the top right of the page.
The Login dialog opens.
Resetting Your Password
If you’ve forgotten your password, or want to change it for security reasons, click Reset it here at the bottom of the Login dialog.
The dialog switches to a reset view. Enter your username, your new password, and a verification code that we’ll send to the email address on your account. Submitting the form updates your password immediately.
Confirming Your Email Address
If you didn’t verify your email address during registration, the Login dialog asks for a verification code on your next sign-in. Enter the most recent code from your inbox and continue with the login.

Logging Out
Click the person icon at the top right of the page to open your profile, then click Logout. A confirmation appears:
Sign out? Are you sure you want to sign out?
Confirm with Sign out and you are returned to the home page as a signed-out visitor.
Logging out does not affect any debate you were part of — it carries on without you. If the debate is still running you can log back in and rejoin it from the home page.
Being Signed Out Automatically
debate.club allows one active session per account. Signing in somewhere else — another browser, another device — ends the session you had open, and the older one is told why:

| You were signed out because you logged in somewhere else. | You (or someone with your password) signed in on another device or browser. |
| You were signed out in another tab. | You clicked Logout in a different tab of the same browser. |
| You were signed out because your password was changed. | Your password was reset or changed, which invalidates existing sessions. |
| You were signed out. | The session ended for another reason. |
